The BRSCC Fiesta Junior Championship is aimed at delivering 14-17 year old budding tin top racers with the perfect platform from which to launch their circuit racing careers, and the championship has a long history of helping young drivers develop and move onto great success as they step into senior racing categories.

The BRSCC recognises that by making FJC as accessible as possible to aspiring young racers is only one key aspect of running an attractive and successful junior racing championship, and the Club along with Esther Crook our Championship Coordinator fully understands the importance of then assisting and supporting drivers once they have committed to joining. You’ll hear the phrase “Fiesta family” often in the FJC paddock, and that’s testament to the work put in by getting to know all of our drivers and their families, as well as by working closely with any race teams supporting them.

Fiesta Junior Championship cars are designed around the Mk7 Ford Fiesta 1.6 Zetec S road car platform, however once they are rebuilt to championship specifications, they become genuinely exciting, safe and dynamic race cars, and the perfect learning platform for our young drivers.

To support future junior racers and race teams as strongly as possible in terms of sourcing the correct parts to ensure ease of building and maintaining FJC race cars, and also to help manage and control costs, the club have introduced a “single supplier” initiative for all mandatory and control parts, this to include fully rebuilt and sealed engines. This allows the club to carefully manage build costs on behalf of competitors, and to ensure technical and on-track performance equality of the new cars.

After working closely with professional racing driver Josh Cook on every aspect of the new car, a comprehensive build kit package has been developed which delivers genuine value for money, yet without compromising on safety, quality or driveability.
